It’s that time again – TELP time!
What’s TELP you ask?
It’s our Transportation Entry Level Program, or TELP. Previously known as the Technical Entry Level Program, this opportunity is your pathway to a fulfilling transportation career in the BC Public Service.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure delivers a wide range of transportation services to the citizens of British Columbia and we’re looking for creative and innovative individuals who enjoy working on unique and challenging projects to help us deliver them.
Whether you’re overseeing construction and maintenance, working with IT systems, approving developments near our infrastructure or consulting with First Nations – your work will contribute to the safety, reliability and improvement of our infrastructure. From day one, you’ll be able to see how your work directly impacts the lives of British Columbians.
What You’ll Gain as a TELP
By joining our ministry as a TELP, you will be able to build on your strong educational foundation with first-hand work experience. Full time, permanent employment with us includes a comprehensive training plan designed specifically for each position. TELPs will be assigned a supervisor and mentor who will share their lifetime of experience with you. You will also have access to multiple training and development opportunities, not to mention a wide variety of more traditional benefits such as a minimum of three weeks annual vacation to start, paid overtime, eligibility for the Pacific Leaders Loan Forgiveness Program for BC Student Loans, a comprehensive medical/dental program, flexible work arrangements and even relocation expenses – just to name a few.
