I was just wondering what a person would have to do to get into avalanche control and/or rock scaling as it is something I’ve been interested in for a very long time just never knew what to do or who to speak to.

For pursuing a career in the avalanche business, check out the CAA website. There is a section there regarding career path and the various training opportunities to get you there. http://www.avalanche.ca/
As for rock scaling, there isn’t specific training but more “on the job” training. It’s generally performed by contractors in the private sector so if you’re interested in this type of work, you should contact rock slope stabilization contractors for any job opportunities/details.
