Thank You From TranBC!

Like many a long journey on BC highways, the TranBC blog has reached its destination.

After more than 15 years of sharing stories, updates and insights from across BC’s transportation network, we are bringing the TranBC blog to a close.

Since 2011 this space has been dedicated to sharing the behind-the-scenes efforts of MOTT employees that help people and goods move safely and efficiently throughout the province.  From major infrastructure projects and seasonal safety tips to new technologies and day-to-day operations, TranBC has helped connect British Columbians with the work of the Ministry of Transportation and Transit.

We want to take a moment to thank the many people who have contributed to this blog over the years, from writers and editors to subject matter experts and project teams across the province. Their knowledge, time and care made this site what it has been. A special thanks to Russel Lolacher, Kristen Reimer, Nancy McLeod, Josh Rudolph and many others for the care and attention they put into this blog.

Most importantly, we’d like to thank you, our audience, for your interest, your questions and your engagement.

While this blog is coming to a close, MOTT’s work will certainly continue, and avenues for public communication remain open. For current road conditions, incidents and travel updates, please visit DriveBC.ca. For information about ministry programs, projects and services, visit the Ministry of Transportation and Transit website. You can also continue to find transportation updates and information on MOTT’s official BC Gov News channel.

This may be the end of the road for the TranBC blog, but the work and the stories behind it continue across our provincial transportation network. Thank you for being part of the TranBC community over the years.

Drive safely.
